Michael Wolleben
Michael has over fifteen years of experience writing about and analyzing financial markets. Prior to authoring The Spin-Off Report, he spent five years at Sidoti & Co. serving as lead analyst with sole responsibility to author research reports and in charge of identifying time sensitive investment opportunities within the food services industry.
In 2009, Wall Street Journal ranked Michael as #2 (of 33) in the restaurant sector in their "Best on the Street" column. Prior to Sidoti, Michael held positions as a Software Engineer at IntraSphere Technologies and as Software Developer at StageBuilder. He holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA in Computer Science from Villanova. He joined IRG in July 2011.
Robert Dunn
Prior to joining IRG as a senior analyst in 2014, Robert Dunn spent twelve years at Sidoti & Co., LLC as a lead analyst providing expertise on a wide range of industrial-focused equities with market capitalizations between $250 million and $5 billion, including over-the-road truckload and less-than-truckload carriers, short-line railroads, logistics providers, commercial truck-stop operators, equipment rental companies and highway construction concerns. In 2008 and 2012, Robert was named in the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” survey among Industrial Transportation analysts and has been quoted in various industry periodicals, including WSJ.com, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, Forbes, AP, Transport Topics and The Street.
In 2014, Robert began authoring The Hidden Opportunities Report, which identifies and analyzes undervalued companies across industries and market capitalizations that are trading at a discount to fair value on a sum of the parts basis where value could potentially be unlocked through a range of transactions, including a spin-off, carve-out, asset sale or, initial public offering, along with co-authoring The Spin-Off Report, which analyzes every announced domestic tax-free spin-off transaction with a market capitalization in excess of $250 million.
Between 2015-2020, Robert co-managed The Spin-Off Opportunities Fund, a private fund investing in announced and potential spin-off transactions as well as other corporate restructuring situations with favorable risk/return characteristics, and was responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including research and portfolio construction, as well as investor communication.
Robert graduated with a BA from Cornell University in 2002.
